These are the tattoo designs taken from Golden Campaign that I will (hopefully) be selling this weekend at LONDON MCM 2013 as transfer tatts for a bit of fun. I’m hoping to have some on my self and look real tough just like the characters from Golden Campaign. which one is your favorite? KK tatts, Mech tatts or just showing some Love for Carrot Gin?

Last few weeks were great for Golden Campaign as it became available at Gosh comicsagain and made a debut in the shelves of Orbital Comics where it quickly became staff’s pick of the week along with Mignola’s Sledge Hammer 44 and got the attention of many new readers. Really happy right now.

LSCC was last weekend and we had a great time meeting loads of new people, talking to new and old followers of Golden Campaign.
We received great feedback on the new print run of Volume one and I shall make the books we have left from the comicon available on-line soon! so if you didn’t get one at the London Super Comicon keep an eye on my shop.
special thanks to Rosey and Duncan who made my weekend that much better by looking through all my work, sketchbooks and asking me various things about the process of making Golden Campaign. That’s what comicons are really about, meeting like minded people who inspire you to carry on with your work.

Make sure you drop by their lovely store and buy a comic book/Graphic Novel (no need for it to be Golden Campaign) they have a great range of excellent small press comic books.

2. After setting up the online shop just a week ago I already run out of The first edition of Golden Campaign Volume1. I literally had to remember to save a copy for myself and the copies of those who emailed me to save them a copy. If you wanted a copy and couldn’t order one there is still a chance to get one in the Gosh comicbook store in London, Soho as I saved a few copies specially for them. Thanks to everyone who sent me emails and tweets about edition 1, I’ve been enjoying this last week thinking there are people out there in Canada, US, Norway and many other places reading Golden Campaign.
I am delighted with how well received Golden Campaign was by everyone at Thought Bubble. I have to say I was very surprised myself when I first saw the printed versions as the paper and the quality of the whole thing was outstanding. Most people were surprised to find out this was a self-published book as when you touch it and feel the weight of it and the smooth paper you’d think this should cost quite a bit of money.
As I said before the idea of this 100 copies run was never about money and more about people getting into Golden Campaign and gathering a strong and faithful following for this Story. To all those who bought a copy at Thought Bubble and showered me with kind words Thank you very very much.
If you want to buy a copy,I’d say go here and buy one as soon as you can as there are not many copies left (sadly) which means there is a good amount of Golden Campaign books sitting on someone’s Bookshelf and that gets me really chuffed and excited.
I am very excited to be part of the Thought Bubble comicon this year , specially because I will be releasing the first edition of Golden Campaign volume 1 . I’ve been arranging banners, printing posters, cards and adding final touches to the printed version of the graphic novel. The banners on the picture above I’m very pleade with as they are quite big and make your eye follow the images. I cant decide which one is my favourite yet but everyone on the facebook page has already call digs for both of them
This page is one of the pages that started it all. back in 2011 when I started sketching for Golden Campaign, this was one of those pages where I thought encapsulated whatGolden Campaign was about…Mercenaries on patrol talking nonsense waiting for dangers around them in the middle of the forest. I even redid this page three times after it was finished in full colour. The main cars that carry the mercenaries were inspired from those you see in Tales from Earthsea
Which I always hoped were battle cars and wanted them to be shown in more detail, but they ended up being just slave cars..no protection shields or anything like that

I enjoyed drawing these pages, thinking of how SUN-IV would look at his age still full of fire and eagerness to fight…I’d say my main inspiration for him has been Robert Baratheonfrom Game of thrones but with less alcohol and wenches.
